Interesting facts about Benecko

Benecko is one of the highest-lying villages in the Krkonoše Mountains (750-1000 m above sea level). It is located on the southern slope of Mount Žalý (1036 m above sea level) between the towns of Vrchlabí and Jilemnice. Thanks to this, you can admire beautiful views of the region while skiing and, on sunny days (which are not few here), enjoy the sun all day long.

Benecko – a center of recreation and sports, especially skiing. You will find ski slopes here for both beginners – ski school, and for advanced skiers. Possibility of night skiing on illuminated slopes. All downhill slopes are groomed daily.

Standard cross-country trails in Benecko, connected with the nearby cross-country skiing area in Mísečky, create one of the most beautiful and largest sports areas in the Krkonoše Mountains. Excellently groomed trails for both “classics” and “skates”.

Benecko in summer – this means a multitude of hiking and cycling trails, trips, horseback riding, Nordic walking, mushroom picking and relaxation.

In the center of Benecko you will find practically everything you need. There are ski, snowboard, and mountain bike rentals, ski schools for children and adults, tennis courts in the summer, shops, a post office, a disco, bowling, and last but not least, many cozy pubs offering lunch menus at reasonable prices.
